The Ama Sora Field Station in Toyosu is our operational base for field measurements, equipment storage, and local coordination. It is not a separately incorporated entity — it operates as the Japanese field presence of Ama Sora Research LLC. The Toyosu location was chosen specifically for its position within the primary sea-breeze zone: the station sits approximately 800 meters from the bay shore, in the direct path of the onshore afternoon flow.
The field station hosts our portable meteorological equipment, including the Onset HOBO data loggers used for the instrumented transect, the bicycle-mounted anemometer system, and backup batteries and sensors. It also serves as a meeting point for field observation days and as the local address for shipping and receiving research equipment within Japan.

Our research is funded through consulting revenue, publication sales, and the personal resources of the founders.
